Center Isle, NY: The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance made their final stop for their championship night at Center Isle, New York’s Thunder Mountain Speedway Saturday. With 28 competitors pre-registered and 27 making the trip, the days event looked promising for the biggest paying day in the series’ 5 years. $3016 going to the event winner, making it the richest night of the season. The event kicked off with timed hot laps, where Brad Delamater was the fastest overall in his 30D machine.

Three Lacey Maryott Century 21 Signature Properties heat races presented by The Sauce Boss saw Brad Sites pilot his 115 machine to the win in heat one. Heat two, Keith Lamphere and eventual 2025 Series champion took the checkers. Eventual event winner Charlie Fulton took the heat three checkers. Fulton also went on to win the Dash for Cash six lap dash race presented by Taylor Spoonhower, where he picked up a cool $316 for his efforts.

The Ed and Jan Billings Classic feature event saw 26 of the 27 cars entered take the green flag. Charlie Fulton jumped out to the early lead, until Keith Lamphere slipped by on lap 10, holding the lead for only 2 laps until Fulton got hooked up on the outside and powered back by on lap 12. Fulton settled into the top spot for the remainder of the event and crossed the line first. Lamphere came across the line in second claiming the 2025 series championship, followed by Brad Sites, Tyler Belcher, and Randall Paxton rounding out the top 5. Mikey Wilcox who started 26th on the field improved his position by 13 spots narrowing out Michigan driver Myron DeYoung who moved up 12 spots for the S&S Custom Auto Body Hard Charger award.
