The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance held their points banquet Saturday evening at Wysox Volunteer Fire Department. IMCA Eastern Region Director and Series Promoter Jake Maynard and Series Announcer Morgan Colegrove were the voices behind the event.
Besides recognizing the top ten in points, the series handed out special awards to drivers. Dalton Maynard of New Albany, Pa took home the Evan Canfield Best Appearing Car award presented by M.R. Grafix. Most Improved Driver award went to Dushore, Pa driver AJ Hunsinger. Series rookie and seasoned driver Earl Zimmer took home the Series’ Rookie of the Year. The Billy Maynard Sportsman award went to Laceyville’s Tyler Belcher. Car owner of the 943 Modified Matthew Hayes claimed the Ron Lias Crew Chief of the Year award. Keith Lamphere of Monroeton, Pa took home the Sean Lias Driver of the Year award.
Keith Lamphere was also officially crowded the Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance champion for 2025. Lamphere edged out second place finisher Earl Zimmer by 8 points. Lamphere brought home 2 Close Racing Supply feature wins, 5 Lacey Maryott Century 21 Signature Properties heat wins, along with six top five and two top ten finishes in the 8 race season.
The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance capped off a series record Fifth season. The series saw a total of 42 different drivers hit the track this season. Series officials are already hard at work on the upcoming 2026 season. Stay tuned for the series schedule.
