There were 26 registered IMCA Modified drivers and cars that showed up this past weekend at Woodhull. This allowed for the Series’ first ever B-Main to come into effect as the track did not want 26 cars on the track for the feature. Series officials and the Woodhull officials decided they would run 22 cars total, allowing for a B-Main that would send four cars home.

There were 4 heat races where the top 4 finishers would automatically transfer to the A-Main. The other 10 cars that did not transfer would have to try to advance through the B-Main and into the A-Main by finishing in the top 4. This set the field for 20 cars plus two Provisionals, one being the highest non qualifying car in Woodhull track points which ended up being Charlie Fulton and the highest non qualified driver in Series points getting the second provisional which would be Rodney Morgan after he had mechanical issues most of the night.

In the B-Main, it was Rodney Morgan on pole in the #89, the #711 to his outside, 3rd starter was the #7B, 4th the #37, 5th the #34 of Doug Stack Sr, 6th Charlie Fulton in the m64, 7th Gary Roberts in the U2, 8th AJ Hunsinger in the #33A, 9th was the 0J of John Gage, and Ricky Hunsinger in the #33R would have started 10th but was not able to compete from a broken pinion after a turn 1 lap one incident with Gary Roberts in his heat race.

At the finish, the top 4 in the B-Main would be Tyler Belcher, Doug Stack Sr P2, P3 was JW Lamphere in the #711, and AJ Hunsinger rounding out the final transfer spot in 4th.
